We are so excited to bring you an incredible timetable of talented people who are willing to share their knowledge and skills and help you learn something new. This year we have:
Intermediate /Advanced (Machine Sewing) – A year-long ‘Block of the Month’ course run by Louise. We will start with the medallion in the centre and will add on a new border each month and watch this quilt grow over the year.
Project Wallets (Machine Sewing) – This is a one-day class run by Linda. These fantastic project bags can be made in any size and are great to make as gifts, or for keeping yourself to store things… including your current craft project!
Corner Triangle Quilt (Machine Sewing) – This is a one-day class run by Louise who will talk through colour options, and how to master this technique. Once you’re started there will be no stopping you! You can make this quilt any size and you can either buy co-ordinating fabrics or use fabrics you already have to make a ‘scrappy quilt’.
Jelly Roll Quilt (Machine Sewing) – This is a one-day class run by Louise. Come along with your sewing machine and jelly roll and enjoy a relaxing (but productive!) day of sewing before leaving with your finished quilt!
English Paper Piecing (Hand Sewing) – This is an excellent class run by Louise for beginners. It is extremely therapeutic, addictive and is perfect for the busy life most of us live as it can be picked up and put down and is completely portable.
Introduction to Patchwork and Quilting – This is a beginner’s workshop where you will be shown all the basics, including measuring and cutting your fabric accurately, joining pieces to make blocks and then joining blocks together to make a cushion front. You will make a small cushion cover on the day and, using the skills and information you learn, will be transported into the world of patchwork and quilting and making your first quilt in no time!
Cathedral Cushion (Sewing Machine) –
Temari Ball (Beginners) – Learn the Japanese art of making a Temari ball. Originally used as toys for children, Temari balls became ever more intricate before ultimately becoming the decorative items they are today. No experience is required.
Needle Felted Sheep – This is something new for us so I am delighted to welcome along Jan who will show you how to make your very own needle felted sheep.
Surprise Christmas Project (Sewing Machine) – Come along and join in a day of Christmas crafts. We will have something nice for you to make to put you in the festive spirit.
Flower Quilt (Sewing Machine) - This is a one-day class for beginners/intermediate. Come along, relax and have a cuppa and we will show you how to create this beautiful block. Once you have mastered this block, all you need to do is repeat the process and voila - you have a beautiful quilt!
Sophie Standing Artist – Wildlife artist using only fabric & thread. This workshop promises to be an unforgettable experience as Sophie will show you her extraordinary technique of reproducing images in fabric and then using thread to create texture and realism.

For most classes and workshops, you will need to bring your own supplies and equipment; a list of specific requirements will be sent out prior to the class commencing.
